Remitly Payment Process – Send USD to INR

Follow the steps below to complete your international transfer from the United States (USD) to India (INR) using Remitly:

🔹 Step 1: Create or Login to Your Remitly Account

• Visit Remitly.com or download the Remitly mobile app.

• Sign in with your email and password.

• If you’re a new user, select Create Account and verify your email and phone number.

🔹 Step 2: Start a New Transfer

• Click on “Send Money”

• Choose:

  • Sending Country: United States (USD)

  • Receiving Country: India (INR)

Remitly will show you two transfer options:

Select the option that fits your needs.

🔹 Step 3: Enter the Amount

• Type the amount you want to send in USD or the amount you want the receiver to get in INR.

• Remitly will display:
  ✔ Live exchange rate
  ✔ Fees
  ✔ Delivery estimate
  ✔ Final INR amount

🔹 Step 4: Add Recipient Details

Select how the recipient will receive money (Remitly supports both):

• Bank Deposit

• UPI Transfer

• Cash Pickup (at select partner banks)

Then enter required details such as:

• Recipient Full Name (as per bank records)

• Bank Name

• Account Number

• IFSC Code

• OR UPI ID (if using UPI method)

🔹 Step 5: Choose Your Payment Method

Remitly allows the following payment options:

Select your preferred option.

🔹 Step 6: Verify & Confirm

Before completing, review:

• USD sending amount

• Exchange rate

• Fee charged

• Final INR amount

• Recipient details

Once verified, tap Confirm and Send.

🔹 Step 7: Complete the Transfer

• If paying by bank transfer, follow instructions to authorize the ACH.

• For card payments, authenticate the transaction.

🔹 Step 8: Track Your Transfer

• Remitly provides real-time transfer tracking.

• You can view status via the mobile app or website.

• Recipient will receive funds based on the delivery method:

  • Express: Usually within minutes

  • Economy: Typically 2–5 working days

Both sender and receiver may receive confirmation notifications.

✔ Transfer Completed

Once delivered, Remitly will show the status as Delivered and the recipient will receive INR in their bank account or payment method selected.
